Take a leisurely stroll with us through artsy neighborhoods, enjoy gourmet food tastings and scenic aerial views of New York, and learn about the rich history of NY from an enthusiastic and knowledgeable licensed guide.
Join us as we wind our way through gallery-rich Chelsea before exploring the famous High Line, an elevated park created from an abandoned industrial railway and suspended above the city. We'll then stroll through the hip Meatpacking (former slaughterhouse) District, before going shopping and food tasting at Chelsea Market. Our walk will continue through Greenwich Village and the West Village and end in trendy Soho.
The High Line is an attraction which no visitor to New York should miss! A lush promenade suspended over the streets of Manhattan’s West Side, it was created on the abandoned tracks of a former industrial railway. (and was inspired by the Promenade plantée in Paris!).
Rising 33 feet above the street/above ground, this bucolic promenade will delight you with its completely new views of Manhattan seen from exciting new angles.
After you meet your guide, the tour will start with a walk through Chelsea with its art galleries and lively atmosphere. Then we’ll climb the famous High Line where you’ll enjoy stunning views of the City and of the Hudson River, all while learning how this aerial park is 100% ecological.
Further on, we’ll say goodbye to our panoramic views to explore the picturesque Meatpacking District. Once home to slaughterhouses, it is now one of the city’s most popular neighborhoods, brimming with trendy restaurants and designer boutiques. You’ll love its historic charm, its cobblestone streets and its post-industrial buildings. It’s here where you’ll find Chelsea Market and where you’ll have free time to stroll and refuel with a healthy, tasty snack. Your guide will give you suggestions and recommendations.
Finally, we’ll continue through the iconic Greenwich Village and the West Village and end in trendy Soho.
