Join us for a great day in Harlem and explore the history of one of New York City’s most fascinating neighborhoods.  Be a part Harlem’s rich musical legacy and witness firsthand the sounds of jubilation and the transformative power of gospel music during our mid-week Acapella gospel concert.

Indulge in traditional Soul food from a famed neighborhood restaurant.  You can include a delicious Soul Food lunch at one of Harlem’s local restaurants as an add-on option to the tour.

Join us for an unforgettable morning in Harlem-The Black Capitol of the World!  Explore beautiful residential neighborhoods with diverse architectural styles denoting its Dutch and colonial past. Once a destination for vacationing wealthy New Yorkers, Harlem became the center of a black cultural and artistic movement called the Renaissance. Harlem was the center of a rich nightlife that coincided with the Jazz Age, bringing New Yorkers from all walks of life to experience the neighborhood.

Learn about African American history and culture and the significance of the Black church not only as a religious body but social and political platform for the advancement of

people of color.

Walk along 125th Street and see the Apollo theater and the Theresa hotel.

Explore Harlem’s famous sites like City College, Morningside Heights, Sugar Hill, the Morris Jumel Mansion, Sylvan Terrace, Strivers Row, Hamilton Grange, and the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture.

Feel the spirit of celebration during our mid-week gospel concert. The Harlem Gospel Ensemble is a local choir that performs gospels, spirituals, and original music in the Acapella style.

  • Guests are invited to take brief walks during stops in the neighborhoods visited. The average stop is about 15 minutes
  • Infants must sit on your lap child seats are unavailable
  • Soul Food is traditional African American cuisine originating in the United States South. It consists of spicy ribs, collard greens, fried fish and chicken, freshly cooked cornbread, and a few side dishes like black eye peas, okra, or macaroni and cheese to mention a few.
  • With advance notice, wheelchair-bound customers with some mobility can be accommodated in the front rows of the tour bus with their wheelchairs folded away in the luggage compartment. Someone must accompany customers with special needs to assist them onto the coach.
  • For passengers with no mobility or non-foldable wheelchairs, we recommend giving at least 3 weeks’ notice in order to secure a coach with a wheelchair lift based on availability.
  • Wheelchair lifts are 49" X 28" and can carry a maximum weight limit of 700lbs. We kindly ask that you submit the dimensions and model of the chair as our lift may not be able to accommodate scooters and other large-sized electric chairs. A maximum of one person in a wheelchair can be accommodated.
  • Many of the churches that we visit have steps. To accommodate their wheelchair-bound congregation members, churches use portable mobility ramps or lifts.
  • This tour is not suitable for pets
